Hello all,

I applied this past cycle to no avail. I knew my chances were very slim, but I applied anyway, and to a large number of schools but nothing but rejections so far. AADSAS calculated my oGPA to be 2.92, and my sGPA to be 2.57. I did very poorly in 3 semesters in my undergrad, specifically when i took OChem, so i had to retake those and a couple other classes to get the C limit. I got a 21 on the DAT and have a fair amount of shadowing and research and all that.

So looking forward, I know that my GPA is where I need to improve. What should I look into for improving it? Im thinking about a SMP, but what do you all think?

Thanks!

smp. maybe a couple of easy A classes to round you up but the meat of your application has to be upper-level sciences, especially biological sciences.

I would suggest an informal post bac if you still have a lot of biology classes to take. If not, maybe an SMP or a non thesis masters in a biological science. Upward trend is key in your situation.
