M1 here, trying to figure out what sort of derm research to pursue over the summer. What type of research will make derm PD's say "Wow, that's neat!" ? Clinical preferred.

M1 here, trying to figure out what sort of derm research to pursue over the summer. What type of research will make derm PD's say "Wow, that's neat!" ? Clinical preferred.

It depends on the PD. Some are general dermatologists, some are dermatopathologists, some are surgical dermatologists, some are heavy into basic science research.

Rather than picking a topic you think a PD would like, I'd pick a topic you are passionate about. I'd suggest something you can publish prolifically on. I'd suggest something you can talk about intelligently and enthusiastically come interview season.
