Hi,
I read up on the limits on graduate student loans and they seem far less than what dental school would cost: https://studentaid.ed.gov/types/loans/subsidized-unsubsidized

In case I hit this limit, what should I do? Are there any other federal loans, or low-interest loans, available to me?

grad plus loans. around 7% range. then theres private loans.

Erm, could someone please tell me the limits of all federal loans available for dental students?
Have any of you taken private loan? How did/does it go?

According to the ADEA Official Guide to Dental Schools one can borrow up to the full COA (cost of attendance). COA is determined by tuition, fees, living expenses, etc.

Graduate and professional school students may borrow up to $20,500 per year from the unsubsidized Federal Stafford loan. The cumulative loan limits are $138,500, including undergraduate debt (and no more than $65,500 in subsidized Federal Stafford loans).

Medical school and health professions students may borrow up to $40,500 per year and have a cumulative loan limit of up to $224,000.

So subtract whatever you borrowed from that.

Grad PLUS is uncapped, you are only limited by cost of attendance minus other any aid. Even if you exhaust the standard Direct loan eligibility, you can still receive Grad PLUS loans.

Do GradPlus loans require co-signer? My parents are retired and can't help.
