i hear it's a waste of time. just assemble a 3D interpretation of the figure in your head and do a quick process of elimination. you should expect to spend 10-12 minutes on that section. the line method doesn't work on everything...now if you're on expert on TFE...
i think when i first began TFE, i wasn't getting more than 7 out of 15. now im getting between 10-12 out of 15. so i say the best way to go about it is practice...you'll find something that works.
anyway, im not sure if youve been practicing...but do you have any suggestions on the hole punching section? that one is killing me...
basically its looking at the perspective they give, for example, a front view. Now with the front view, instead of visualizing and understanding the image they are trying to convey, you just count the number of vertical lines in the figure. ie if its a square split down the middle vertically, then you know there are 3 lines in the top view. so you look at the answer choices, and see which has the 3 lines and thats your answer - if it were only that simple. It may eliminate 1 answer, but don't rely on it to give you THE answer.thanks, i getcha...but could you explain what the line method actually is?
the reason is, ive been solving tfe a certain way, and i want to make sure that i havent been using the line method b/c i heard it doesnt work on the actual dat. not having any clue what this method is, i dont actually know if im using the correct tactics
i actually think the line method works great. i feel that by checking the lines from each view you could usually narrow down the choices to two choices. i used that method and did extremely well on the PAT
