I'm sitting here doing the required end-of-life CE the board of pharmacy makes every renewing pharmacist complete their first renewal cycle. This thing is idiotic. The "material" that is supposed to be 2 hours worth of "education" is like 8 paragraphs long...and, now this is truly pathetic, the "quiz" runs alongside the right column next to the material and the questions appear right next to the part in the thing it correlates to. It's like:
"Quiz" Side_____________Giant Black Line______"The Material"

3. What is Palliative Care?______||||Palliative care is awesome.
a. Awesome__________________||||Blah
b. Lame _____________________||||Blah
c. New Jersey _______________ |||| Blah
d. Diet Dr Pepper______________||||Blah

Unless your IQ is 45, I'm pretty sure you can figure this **** out without really reading any of it. How f'n pointless.

I got to do mines.. ****. I dont have any CE credits yet. They used to allow new graduates in my state wait for 3 years before doing any CE credits but changed it while I was in school so that when I am up for renewal, I need it.

I have to do CE to maintain my laboratory credentials with ASCP and NCA. Yeah, a lot of it is pointless because the quizzes are so ***damned easy that any idiot should be able to answer the questions. I didn't know pharmacy CE would turn out to be the same ****.

Not the ones your state mandates and only allows one CE provider to give you...at the ridiculous cost of $19. What a bunch of bull****.

The only thing any of you need to know is FreeCE.com.

Hell, I just did 2 more hours of CE on FreeCE.com in like 20 minutes for the hell of it. This **** is ridiculous.

I have to have 6 hours of live CE, though. I don't want to actually have to go out and sit through a lecture or 6. Oh well, as is life.

I don't even read the articles. I "ctrl+F" to find words from the question in the actual article to get the answers. Completed 10 hours of CE in about 3 hours of work. Thankfully don't have to do live CE as a tech...

CE exists solely to employ an entire profession of people whose job it is to create more CE.

Circular, but rather accurate, reasoning at its finest.

I have 30 hrs/ 2 years of CE requirements. About 10% of the CE I do are actually interesting. As for the other 90%, Acrobat reader and the search function are my friend.

Almost all of mine are live from conferences... some are actually useful. And the law ones are all usually very useful.
