What is the rubric for Reading comp? How to improve my method?

I just took my first bootcamp test for Reading comp without practicing
I attempted to map passages out, but as I would chug along with my map, while looking at questions within reach, I found that i was more prone to stop mapping and easily find the factual answers and have a good idea for the statement/reason questions. Is this better than mapping?

Also I got a 32/50 which estimated me for a 19. I was wondering what the rubric would be for a 20,21,21.. etc.

I don't think there's really an exact rubric that's been released. When I took my DAT,my strategy was pretty straightforward: I'd read the first question, then begin reading the passage until I found the answer. Then I'd read the second question and continue where I left off. I'd keep doing this until I finished the passage. At that point, I'd go through the questions and could usually vaguely remember where the answers might be in the passage.
