Is this a predominately African American institution?
charles r. drew university has a mission that is similar to other HBCUs' missions (i don't think it has the status yet, but the school is seeking for it).
however, the med student composition is very diverse. for me, this is what makes drew/ucla stand out!
As EJAY pointed out, I once though that DREW/UCLA students are predominantly african/american. But in reality, it's not true. I interviewed there and it realize how diverse the student body was. It almost seemed that it has really good mix of Latinos, African-Americans, Asians, and Caucasians. In fact, I am of asian-descent. Hope this helps.
why not look directly at the source:
ucla/drew class of 2012
its very very diverse
Excellent post! I'm glad you did that. Thanks.
