In addition to asking why I want to go to dental school( Basically asking for the personal statement) The UT application ask for, " Why are you applying now?"

So what does this phrase mean? Why am I applying this term, why am I applying at this point in my life, I do not know. I tried called but it seems like every time I call the person, " in charge" is out of the office and no response from email.

So what do you guys think this is asking for?😕

i would explain why you are sure you are ready now, at this point in your life to begin dental school. explain that you are sure of the decision and prepared for d-skool.

To the OP: I agree that it's asking why you feel you are prepared NOW to enter dental school (what have you done to prepare yourself to succeed).

Why would you email them? How much more obvious should the question be? Do you realize how many people contact them.

Translate it into your own words.

In more words, the question is asking what have you done so far in your life to bring you to a point that you're ready to apply and manage the challenge of dental school.
