What is your favorite year of undergrad as a pre-dental student? I know many people on this board haven't finished undergrad, but so far, what is your favorite?

I'm surprised junior year is looming third since that's usually when you take your DAT and start applying. 😕

I loved sophomore year the best. It was after the crazy freshman year phase and before the buckling down junior year phase. It struck the best balance, I was able to get involved in more things around campus, and it was also my best year academically. I am planning on senior year being the best though!

You get to graduate, take easy gen ed classes and interesting electives, hear back from dental schools (could be good or bad), and destress.

I took all my gen ed classes freshman year? I'll be taking my least rigorous schedule, but still.

Data, my dear stacker, data. I made this thread partially due to my own curiosity. Partially, to compile data for my school's pre-health committee. I felt the answer to this question was quite obvious, but I guess not.

The pre-med poll has almost a 100!

Keep voting please, and share stories! Why is sophomore year the worst year? That was sort of surprising actually. I would guess that junior year would be the most stressful with the DAT..

senior year by far the best! light courseload (although all science), and graduation! What could be better? Undergrad was meh
