Back to the topic - how about Skinny Cow icecream , did anyone try it - it's unbeliavably good.
The Skinny Cow cookies and cream ice cream sandwiches are the best!!
Is say something along the lines of "Support things made in Russia". With Cheburashka being to Russian kids what teletubbies are to American kids....it is kinda funny.

My other weakness is Muneca Brava - Russians and Argentinians will understand. I know it is silly but for some reason I am very nostalgic about that show. I think Facundo Arana was my first love when the show came out. If you wanna watch it - you can see on intv.ru in Russian, the entire show.

I didn't have Russian TV for a while and I didn't have the fast speed internet either. This summer I moved in with my bf and the first think he did is got us DSL. I was finally able to watch some Russian TV over the internet - first time in how many years. The first thing I watched was the Cheburashka cartoon and I got really emotional and started crying. Plus I was a cheburashka for one of the "utternmik " in pre-school.
When it was time for me to register at this forum I thought about a cute cuddly cheburashka and decided to use him as my login. Plus check out my signature about women being like cheburashka, it's funny.
That's Gloria. Why she has a unibrow and has had it over the entire show - 270 episodes without getting rid of it is beyond me.

I love Alenka too but I am crazy about " battonchiki Rot Front ". I even stay away from Russian grocery stores because if I'll come in I'll buy 2 lbs and eat them right there at the register. Considering how many incredibly delicious sweets we have in Russia I am surprised the Russian girls are still sooo skinny.

I spent the entire X-mas break watching the shole show. Just go to intv.ru enter dikij angel in cyrillic and you can watch them for free the entire 270 episodes. You can't download them though you can only watch.
I am kinda embarassed about it - I am 23 for God's sake. If I told anybody in my life I just rewatched the entire show - I think my friends would disown me. 🙁

It's cool not embarassing. Soviet Cartoons rock - much better than all the Cinderellas and little mermaids. Did you see mama dlja mamontenka ? Awwww I was just thinking about it....It is a very good cartoon. (oh yeah and I cry the whole cartoon that's why I haven't watched it yet).But yeah they are better than Cinderella or Hannah Montana. Too bad my little sister isn't interested in cartoons

Noo, I don't think that my application process is going to happen next year (As much as I would loooove to apply).I just have too many pre recs to finish. And there is the other stuff going on that will hold me from that.(Familly stuff).Besides I have some problems with my first year in college (it is a long story). :cry: If it's all going to work out I am going to apply somewhere in 2009 or later...
I even met some - I hung out with panbabylon after his UCSF interview. We had a blast - I met him right after his interveiw ended and we went bar hoping to all the cool bars in San Francisco. Not only I was able to fish out all the juicy details of his interveiw but I got to hang out with a cool Russian guy. 🙂

What about pizza you guys ? I just ate half a medium pizza by myself - am feeling sooo guilty right now. Just can't resist pizza and it's yamminess.
Depends on how much you weight and how fast you can loose it. I love pizza it is a big guilty pleasure or me.Especially deep dish. But I stopped eating it even at work on free food day. I just need to get back in shape.
I am 5'7 and 120 lbs. I follow the pig out principle when it comes to my eating. 6 days a week I eat like a dietician - count the calories and grams of fat to make sure I eat healthy portions. Once a week - anything goes. Pizza, brownies, beer you name it. Today is my pig out day and I am studying for my biology test with a bottle of beer in my hand.
I am guilty - i make it at home. I also bake pies - I don't do it often though because when I do my whole family loads up on them.
Where are all the Americans in this thread ? I swear we are like the only ones who keep it going.
No but you see you have to have an oven and uzbek to bake the bread. Otherwise it is just not good.
Well I think I am going to have to stop and buy skinny cow ice cream sandwiches on my way home from work now. It will probably help me deal with the stress of studying for my impossible chem test I have on Tuesday.
