I have been receiving 3-5% salary increase for the last several years. I am getting 3% this year.

It seems like they are stringent this year. They are always looking for ways to reduce cost even though the company has been doing extremely well. The veterans in my company are concerned that they are making too much money and their positions would be eliminated.
 
Consider yourself lucky...I work for the VA and all we got was 1% pay increase in January.

I do feel fortunate but what concerns me is the direction my company is heading. They no longer value experience. Experience may actually be a liability, not an asset. It is just about cutting cost and salary is a huge target.

Is this how it is at other places as well?

At my review I found out my salary is maxed out. Zero %. Woot.
 
3% annual has been consistent for me at both jobs.
 
How does this work? You will be making the same salary 10 years from now?
I hope to have a different job by then, so ideally I won't find out.

I was hired for an area with a high cost of living, so base salary was higher. I also took an overnight position, so that was an extra ten percent on top of that. Then I became a manager after the overnight increase became permanent, and got a slight bump for that. Then I got an annual raise. Finally, I moved back to the area where I went to pharmacy school, where cost of living is a bit lower, but kept my same rate. And here I am.
 
8.5% (cost of living, plus new union grade) My low pay from last year is quickly becoming more attractive.
 
0%... we are supposedly forced "unionized", but they don't do **** except taking my money. Haven't had a raise in almost 2 years.
 
I started in 2010 with a salary of $98,000 (midwest community hospital).

Raises are usually in June.

They have been 1%, 2.25%, 4% and finally 2.3%. So pretty much nothing huge. I'm currently at $108,000.

Will be lucky to see 2% this year due to cuts, etc.
 
Started in September 2012 at a rate of $46.09/hr. Had 3 raises since then, I'm at $48.77. I do work 3pm-11pm so my rate is actually 10% higher, so currently $53.65/hr.

The new job I'm transferring to at the peds hospital, my starting rate is $51.04/hr, but since I'll be a overnighter once I'm done with training, my actual rate will be $56.14/hr.
 
average $58 an hour with shift diff - got a 4% pay raise in January= large community hospital

I got 2.75 also. I wouldn't say it is stingy.

A lot of it is dependent on volume, your SOS score, and whether you are a staff or PIC.

For CVS, it is trending so that the PIC and higher volume stores get most of the raise.

Another strategy is to move to a target market, and then xfer back in a few years. For example, a lot of North Cali RPh starts in the mid 60's... and then you can xfer back. Your rate will follow you.

Lastly, while raises are given out in percentages, Sups look at it from a dollar size amount. They are given a budget depending on how well their district do, and have to divide that budget between the pharmacists. Most EE should be getting 3.5k to 4k amount. ME, 2.5 to 3-5k. So... raises can be deceiving because a new grad might get a higher percentage vs somebody who is making more money.
 
i heard $1.35 increase (maryland, cvs).
 
~10%, due to restructuring of compensation system. It does come with increase accountability, but it's basically extra pay for doing what I was already doing.

One thing I really like about America is the the relative fairness. This is coming from an immigrant whose family came here with nothing.

Nothing! Our raises are on hold while they double check the budget. We may get them and may get back pay. I doubt it... *county hospital*
 
For those of you who work for CVS, do you see your yearly raise today in your check? I am asking because i am unsure if i am getting a raise of not as i did not get a chance to meet with my rx supervisor (meeting was canceled ). I was kind of expecting to see something today but did not see any raise. Is it possible that i did not get a raise or i have to wait for next pay period?
 
I work for a unionized hospital so we don't get an increase every year...usually it's every 3 years and it comes out to around 2-3%. I currently make $52.35, work overnights, so $2.15 shift differential on top of that. So not too too bad, I'll get a raise after I finish my first year.

wow - that is a crappy shift dif - we pay $8 for third and $6 for second
 
We pay similar to you. I've found a lot of hosiyals only do a buck or two tho. Totally gets rid of the incentive to pick up those shifts.
yup - we have a handfull of people that enjoy working those shifts just because of the shift diff - for a dollar? heck no

You might be maxed out. Raises depends on several factors. High volume or low volume, how much money you are currently making, and how well you did. If you are making 65 dollars in a low volume store, then 2.5 percent might be your max... versus 3.5 in a high volume store.

Quick question for you Aznfarmerboi.
I am right now at 56.21 dollars per hour ( after the 2.17 percent raise ). My store was doing very bad ,and was failing every metric. Still i managed to get a 1.21 dollars raise. Since we started the year very well, and are exceeding every metric, do you think my raise next year will be higher?
 
Out of the big three chains, does CVS give the biggest raise?

I've only worked for CVS. But I know they pay as least as well as their competitors. Raises? Everyone is pretty quiet about how much they're making haha so hard to say.

YES!!! While pay scales is dependent on your market, 56.21 is at the low range. If you are doing awesome this year, your raise will most certainly be higher (more room for growth). EE is 4 on sos... and if you can get it to a 5, even better.
 
3.7 percent, been working at cvs for nearly 2 years as a night shift pharmacist at a new store...
 
In CA, For a staff position, CVS pays the highest, then WAG, then RAD. $1-2 difference for each company, so if CVS pays their staff around 66, ~64 for WAG, ~62 for RAD. For the discount stores, costco and wmt, it's between what CVS and WAG pays. Grocery stores pays the lowest, equivalent if not lower than RAD for a staff but tend to have easier workload. The workload in CVS is highest, they are always short-staffed, and that's why they pay the highest.

Manager gets $3-10 extra over staff depending how ****7y (rural) the area is.
 
The words in the performance evaluation sounded very good, but the raise was 2%.
