Space is (obviously) more limited than in your PS. Is it better to focus on one or two aspects to answer the question and give more detail, or is it better to focus on multiple and sacrifice some detail? Or are both approaches acceptable?

IE for diversity, you might talk about a passion and maybe a talent -vs- those two things and racial identity, socioeconomic, etc

Honestly, I just answer the question with the room I am given. UCF's two page single spaced diversity essay will likely have much more detail than Rosy Franklin's 100 word minimum, in which I will write 2-3 sentences.

Also what is the preferred writing style? I kinda write everything with a story-like format. Like I lead with an anecdote and explain. Is that dumb and too informal?

Just remember this:
Primary Application - So AdComs know who you are as a student
PS - Why Medicine
LORs - So AdComs know you are a professional
Secondaries - So AdComs know who are you as a person

Before they decide to meet you, they need to know you fit their needs and can succeed as a student. You need to be more that just stats and figures. Re-read your essay and ask yourself, is this me trying to impress or is this me showing who I really am?

Either you meant to write "maximum" or you have some terrible run on sentences.
