I guess this is more for those who are already medical students/physicians. I wanted to hear what was important for you when you were deciding on which school to commit to, especially those who had multiple acceptances. I am just curious and I know this is not exactly applicable to my own life, but felt like I could get some valuable perspectives in which I didn't think of previously

Thank you!

At my school, my students always tell me it's location, location, location.

That, and because we faculty are pretty tight with the students
Thank you for this. Is it true that if you want to match in a particular state it's better to attend a medical school within that state? If you happen to know

I chose entirely based on cost (I was non-trad, self-supporting, low income). It worked out just fine!

The one that loved (paid) me the most.

It’s the best medical school in the country for my career goals. And it has a family atmosphere. I wanted that in my med school.

Edit: oh yeah, in-state tuition is huge too. Like there’s no real reason not to go to your in-state MD unless you get into somewhere like Harvard. Loans are getting insane

Well, for one, I didn't get into that many. Haha.

The school was close to home, in a major city. I knew students who went there and were happy. I knew an attending from there and respected them.

No regrets.

Cost, location, vibe, stress factors (class rank, grades, etc.), and rough ranking/match list (top quartile, second quartile, etc.).
