I just finished remediating my M1 year and things went smoothly. I'm on summer break now and I am studying for my second year + reviewing

The reason why I had to remediate M1 was because I just didn't know how to study. I've figured it out that I basically have to rely on third party resources like Bootcamp, USMLE-Rx, and Amboss during pre-clinicals.

I will be starting clinicals one year from now. This may be the last real summer I get so I want to make sure that I'm set up well for clinicals. So, how do you study during clinicals? Do students just review their notes from pre-clinicals and continue reading USMLE-Rx + watching AMBOSS videos for Step 2? And, how do you become an excellent clinicals student?

Check into resources like Sketchy Pharm and the Step Up To Medicine series. In addition, you may be interested in the Blueprints series. Maybe even pocket medicine books.

If the reason was your study strategy, then take notes on that, make a condensed version, and reference it often.
You could consider making a spreadsheet/getting a planner in order to hold yourself accountable for studying hours.

With respect to your last question, reach out to your seniors and make sure to make friends with the attendings. Go through the chain of command so that you don't bug the attendings about every little thing. Don't ask stupid questions (anything that you could have looked up on your own). Be NICE to patients and try to explain everything clearly and in a kind way.

Good luck!
