I have a few terms left before I apply and am wondering what classes I should take (and do well in) to help boost my app. I am a molecular and cellular biology major so I've taken all the intro science courses, cell bio, development, genetics, biochem, physiology, and anatomy. The two minors I'm between are microbiology and medical history and ethics.

Basically, is it better to supplement my app with a well-rounded course load, or boost that science gpa? My overall and sci are about even.

depends on your school and also where you want to go but immunology, drug chemistry, pathogenic bacteriology, animal or vertebrate physiology, or you could always do some undergrad research. Im sure youre already close to a minor in chemistry.

i could be pulling this from nowhere, but maybe consider psychology. even though it's kindof a bs subject, but if you can "gain some insight" into how people think, maybe to use it to deal with patients in the future. who knows. and the classes are usually really easy, so a potential good gpa booster.

minors are useless.
noone looks at it, and you definitely cant get a job based on one.

take some geography courses and boost your GPA

chemistry! 60% of your DAT - TS is chemistry.

i am biased, though, as a chemist 😎

maybe something useful like business. lots of dentists with they had business classes in college.

Something you like! Minors aren't on your degree so really it's a good time to take something that interests you. Do you even have to declare a minor at your school? I didn't so I just took whatever random courses interested me without having to meet any MORE departmental requirements than my major already needed.

Take Micro or business. Not sure about raising a GPA, sometimes I think that or that class'd be easier for boosting GPA, but then I hear horrible stories that those classes just lowered their GPA, but I think it's only b/c class was not interesting at all...so take classes you're interested the most.
