What New MCAT Score Will Get Screened

Has anyone heard about specific screening criteria? Is one 124 going to get somebody screened?

124 is equivalent to 7 or 8, so I doubt 124 would get screened. It also depends on what section you're talking about.

Chem/Physics, I know some schools screened 7's, so I'm a little nervous.

I'm a solid DO applicant. My science GPA should be just over 3.70 (waiting for verification) with A's in both Gen Chems, both organics, and Biochem I. Hoping that makes up for the 124. 🙂

No reason to worry, especially if youre not gunning for a school in particular. PCOM is the only school off the top of my head that screens below an 8. I assume your other scores were fine?

128, 127, 127.... I'm not too worried. Was hoping to be a few points higher for my state MD school, but only so I could stay closer to home. Will be more than happy with any DO.

Some do total score, some do subscore, some both, some dont screen. >125 will give you a lot easy time when applying to MD schools
