what package from dat destroyer should i use
Started by Greenvneck
I got the reg destroyer with math destroyer. Knowing both inside and out is more than enough prep IMO.
You should get ochem odyssey only if you think you will need a million ochem practice problems.
Honestly though, if you are strong at math, I wouldn't even get the math destroyer.
You definitely need to get at least the regular destroyer. The ?'s are hard but they really prepare you (the solutions are very well explained as well).

i think I'm going to get the combo (basic and math). i got nailed with trig problems on my last DAT and chad's vids didn't help with that...but then again when i first took the DAT i didn't have a single trig problem.
better to be over prepared than under, IMO.

Definitely better to over prepare.
I got owned by trig problems on my DAT as well haha
I would definitely disagree with this opinion 100%. Math was my favorite subject on the DAT, and the math destroyer helped me improve my grade drastically, from helping with timing, repetitive problem familiarity, and relearning trig and prob/perm/comb problems. It also was fun when you could take one math test a day 10 days, and still consider yourself to be studying.Honestly though, if you are strong at math, I wouldn't even get the math destroyer.
.
To OP: I got both destroyers, never have heard of odyssey, but if you have other study material to supplement, i think destroyers are surely more than enough for problems (assuming you have other practice tests (kaplan blue book, adea 2 exams, topscore)

By strong I meant people that are like math tutors in college, competed in math competitions in high school/middle school, etc. Just saying strong makes it pretty subjective haha, but honestly for people like that, regular Destroyer should suffice.
But shoot, provided the extra $ and time are not an issue, get it for the extra practice. Better to be overprepared as predent mentioned.
I would get the DAT Destroyer and Math Destroyer to ensure a good score on the whole thing! That's what I used and I had a 20AA
IMO get the DAT destroyer/MATH destroyer combo - these will make sure you do best on all 4 sections covered in the books. In terms of the PAT section, if you are interested in some more help, Crack DAT PAT is an excellent resource. Good luck!
