Hey guys, first time posting so forgive me if I'm going to ask yall to repeat any info that you have already posted...

I'm in the Peace Corps and currently home on vacation; hence, free and unlimited internet. I'm trying to gather as much information as I possibly need before I go back and have little or no access to internet and phones. I am hoping yall (yes, I'm from Texas) can shed some light on (1)different programs, (2)why yall picked them, (3)if yall are enjoying them, (4)how the application process worked, (5)when did you apply, etc. I basically don't have the ability to do much indepth research other than looking at different schools' brochures and I need to get a lot of stuff done while I am at home, for example LOR & transcripts. Here is my basic info and if anyone would be so kind to let me know what schools they went to and if my background makes it plausible for me to apply.

Undgrad GPA: 3.74 Only one science course, Gen Chem 4.0. Math: Social Stats (guess I will need calc for med school?) Wrote a senior Honors Thesis
ACT: 26
Major/Minor: Psychology/Gender Studies
Volunteer work: Habitat for Humanity, Hospice, and Health Educator for Peace Corps

I'd like to find a 15 month program as I'll be back in May and could start in June

Thanks guys!

First, check out the stickys at the top of the post-bac forum. You'll find a lot of the info you're looking for there. With your stats, you'll be competitive at the "top" programs. If I were in your shoes, I would go for Goucher or Bryn Mawr. UConn is also stellar, but they strongly prefer CT residents.

Also, the vast majority of med schools don't require calculus. You can take it during the lag year if you'll need it.

Thanks....I'll check out the other link. I'm sure all this info is on here somewhere, but I am somewhat overwhelmed with all this technology!!
