Retake the DAT. Your PAT is absolutely too low. How did you prepare for the PAT and what material did you use?
Also, work on your QR; there's a lot of room for improvement that can help bring up your AA. I'd recommend using the math destroyer if you havent already been using it.

Call up LSU and see what they say. They might go either way.

Just make sure you call every week about the status of your application. They love it when students show interest in their school.

i emailed Dr. Toby J. Cheramie (Dean of Admissions and Student Services ) and he said "Anything is possible, but I don't know enough about your application to make that determination at this time. My official recommendation remains: GPA of 3.65, DAT of 21, with no sectional score below an 18. If your GPA is below a 3.65, then your DAT should be higher. Your PAT and QR are considerably lower than the recommended sectional scores."
so yeah.. any ideas on how to study for the pat? the questions were horrible
and the QR problems were extremely long.. i had the math dat destroyer but did not even get time to use it.

First of all, tell us how did you prepare for the PAT. Practice makes perfect. What material did you use to practice?
For QR, the math destroyer is pretty representative of the actual DAT IMO. It is definitely not the most important section ever, but you do need to set time aside for it to do well on it. I recommend doing the first 3~4 tests one question at a time and then immediately look at the answer. That'd be your teaching tool. After you get familiar with it, try to do it like the actual QR and TIME yourself. You said the QR problems were extremely long; it shouldn't be. Practice enough to get quick at it.

i just watched a couple youtube videos for pat. it was really stupid of me to not practice it under time. 90 question in 60 minutes is just too much
and yeah thats how ill do math for next time. i didnt even study for biology as well. but this time i will spend more time. i have to take it before june which is when LSU starts taking applications. i just hope my GPA 3.7 and sGPA 3.8 can make up if i dont do good next time. btw, english is not my first language, so excuse any mistakes hehe
question: does LSU average the DAT scores or they take the highest score or they use the most recent one?
Crack Dat PAT at the very least, and perhaps DAT Bootcamp. I did the CDP PAT tests in the span of a week during school, with work, and a girlfriend, and research, and volunteering. There's no reason you can't find the time. Each practice test is only 1 hour. There are 10 of them, which means a total of 10 hours. Your score should increase significantly from that.
Watching PAT Youtube videos and then taking the DAT is like watching swimming videos and then doing a triathlon. You can't just expect to do well on the swimming portion by watching videos, you may very well just drown.

Challenge. Accepted.
With your decent GPA, I would take the DAT again and raise those QR and PAT scores to an 18. Bootcamp alone helped me earn a 25 PAT and there are a number of math resources to use (Math Destroyer, even SAT study guides) to raise your QR. And don't neglect the sciences; you don't want anything to get worse. Don't let one aspect of your application stick out like a sore thumb.

Definitely need a retake. Everything is fine except QR and PAT. QR doesn't matter much but a 15 is still too low. Bio could use a boost as well. The other scores and you GPA are good though.
Hi Ahmad, I am a current LSU student. Like the others have said, you really don't want any scores under 18. With your GPA, you can get an interview with a 19 AA, probably not an 18 or lower. Since LSU does rolling admissions, the earlier your interview, the more likely you are to get in. To get that early interview, get a high DAT (my interview group was the 2nd in-state group, everyone had a 20 or 21). Also, apply within a week of AADSAS opening.
Also, they take the highest score, not the most recent.
