PTH Is released in response to low Ca2+ blood levels.
It stimulates osteocalst activity.
Increased Calcium absorption from the small intestine
Lowers Calcium Excretion and Increases Ca Reabsorption in the Kidneys
Increase Excretion of Phosphate

What role does Phosphate play here? Because when Calcitonin is released in response to high levels of Calcium in the blood, Phosphate reabsorption is also inhibited (Alongside calcium reabsorption).

Calcium and phosphorus have an inverse relationship: when calcium levels increase, phosphorus levels decrease
Mineralization requires adequate calcium and phosphate and is also dependent on Vitamin D
