Towards the bottom of the list you can see that only 5% of Glasgow's research is of an internationally recognized standard (that would be category 4*), while Edinburgh has 20%. Don't get me wrong, Glasgow is an excellent school and conducts top-quality research, but this year at least Edinburgh wins
😉! Plus, the numbers you gave don't make sense- they add up to over 100. The GPA for research activity is not what actually determines the #1 spot so to speak. (Being friendly here- I really don't think league tables ever mean much anyway).
