  1. Pre-Dental
Hi All

I'm applying for the 2007 admission.
My cumulative GPA is around 3.39
Science GPA is around 3.43. And I went to Univ of Pittsburgh for biology major.
DAT:
PAT: 18
QR: 23
RC: 20
Bio: 18
GC: 21
OC: 24
TSci: 20
AA: 21
I also have one research exp. Probably going to shadow a dentist soon.

Can you suggest me some dental schools that you think I could get into based on my credentials?

Thx a lot.

Well, you can buy the ADEA guide to dental schools (or go to www.predents.com) and see how your stats match up with the data to get a basic list.

Then narrow it down on location, cost, rep, match rates, board scores, opinions of those who are there, info from their website, etc. Do your research. Take some tips from dat_student on research because he/she is over the top with it!

Thx for the info. But I also have a question about the nature of the GPA matching. Those GPA listed in www.predents.com are from the enrolled students from all over the country and since I got 3.4 GPA from Univ of Pittsburgh (an ok school i guess), how would I know if the admission office isn't looking for a 3.4 from Harvard or UPENN instead of a 3.4 from UPitt ? Any ideas or comments are welcome !!!

Thx. 😀

I would NOT buy the ADEA guide because it's usually couple years BEHIND and their stats are old and some school fail to publish their full stats. Also what's published there does not mean it's what schools actually look for. Those numbers are meaningless as far as my experience. Your scores are good just apply to your desired schools and apply EARLY (early June).
Good Luck
