Hi guys,

I was wondering if someone could give me an idea of what science GPA would be the minimum to have a decent chance of getting accepted to medical school? I really don't care where I go, anywhere will do - so post your thoughts? Thanks!

minimium science GPA depends on so many other factors sooo it will be hard to say. you might want to look at the average GPA of the schools you want to apply to. good luck

Hi,
I see you seem concerned over your science GPA to get into med school. The thing is if you are wanting to go to an osteopathic school, as I see you posted pre-osteopathic, then there is good news. Osteopathic schools look at the overall application you submit much more than just your numbers. They will consider your GPA, MCAT, experiences (both medical and life), and you as a person. So, to state a minimum to you like you have to have a 3.2 is kind of arbitrary. The truth is that the Science GPA for osteopathic schools is around a 3.2-3.3 for an average which means that some had stellar science GPAs and some had subpar but both got accepted. What I am trying to tell you that if you really want to be a Doctor, the only one that can stop you is yourself. If you try hard enough, you will get into a school somewhere. I hope that helps.

Have a Great Day!!!
