I was just wondering what section is given the most consideration on the MCAT. My verbal score is the highest out of all the sections (I am a bio major) and I did very well in writing. I did decent on the other two sections. My kaplan teacher said that your verbal score is a good predictor of how well you will do on the USMLE. However, I've heard other students say that bio is the best indicator of this. What are your thoughts? Thank you 🙂

Well, med schools not only look for a high score in each section, but they also look for scores that are near each other. So this just suggests that they like to look at each section as equals.
I mean, if you got a 15 on PS and 15 on VR, and ended up with a 3 on the BS section, the 33 total score sounds pretty nice, but the breakdown makes you look like an unwanted candidate.
A score of 11 11 11 would be more appealing.

Well yeah, but is there still any emphasis given to a particular section? For example, if someone received a 10PS 12VR and 10BS, would most med schools prefer to see the 12 in verbal or would they prefer to see it in bio or physical sciences?
