I've been pretty pleased with how I've been doing on all my practice test thus far. However, the last couple days something is going on with my verbal score. I've been consistently averaging and 11 on the section and yesterday I got a 9 on AAMC 10. I thought "uh... ok, whatever just one test. Don't matter." I thought I'd do a few EK passages this morning just to get my confidence back (I saved a few of them). Over 4 passages I ended up getting 11 out of 24 wrong... seriously WHAT??? I have never had a string like that in EK verbal. I no joke threw the book across the room. And my test is in two days. Freakin' awesome.

Just breathe. It's an average score you're looking at, not just one test - and so far, your average verbal must be sitting somewhere around... 10.5? Review the verbal in your last couple of tests to refresh yourself on technique, and let the rest go. You're too close to get overly stressed - you're going to do great!!

Hey, I cannot speak for the EK passages, but a similar thing happened to me with AAMC 10. I had been averaging about 11-12 verbal overall (Kaplan/AAMC/EK) and then I received an 8 on AAMC 10 verbal. I did hear though that the grading was off though for AAMC 10 verbal which would certainly be comforting, but even if not, it just happened to be an exceptionally difficult verbal section.

I wouldn't sweat it to much, I'm taking the MCAT this week as well. Just try not to get over-anxious and nervous b/c that may be contributing to your more recent verbal scores.

No offense but making a thread on SDN to complain about it won't make you do any better...

Throwing your book won't solve anything...

Seriously just calm down and focus...

you can probably expect this kid to be throwing his patient out of the hospital when he can't figure out a diagnosis.

jokes.

good luck on mkat dawg

you just need to stop! relax. don't do any more review or practice before you take the MCAT. clear your head, and everything will be ok. just go take the test.
