What shadowing do I need for pod school

So I'm taking an interest again in podiatry so I would like to know what type of shadowing would be necessary for pod school? I know I should mandatory shadow one to see if I like it, which I'm pretty sure I will, but after I get a couple of hours hadowing a podiatrist should I shadow another type of physician to get more hours because I have an uncle that a GI subspeciliezed in oncology and I'm thinking of going up to Philadelphia to shadow him for the summer next summer. Do you think that would look good on my pod application, and also I would like to know if I'm an emt would that count towards volunteer hours which I need to have patient contact?
