What should I call this for work/activities?

While in a prior, non-scientific, grad program/career I applied for and was awarded a grant for my field of study. Additionally, I had two conference presentations (including at a well-known national level organization and a more regional association) while in this field. I was thinking of including these in my work/activities as they were major accomplishments for me at that time, but am unsure what heading to put them under. Should I use 'conferences attended' for the presentations, or is this category mainly aimed at scientific experiences? Would the grant be appropriate under an 'award/honor' heading or is 'other' a better choice? I recognize I am likely being neurotic about this distinction. Thank you in advance for your patient with one more stressed out premed!

1) What was the basis for receiving the grant? Past academics or accomplishments?

2) Put them under the category Presentations/Posters in one space. Don't use Conferences Attended.

3) Another option would be to include it in the Research entry where you describe projects that led to the presentations. Ideally, you'd describe how competitive the award was.

Thank you for the quick feedback!
1) The basis for the grant was that I researched/developed a plan for a new program to enhance student learning. I had to write a proposal showing the cost of implementation, projected outcomes, and benefit analysis. Writing that I can see how it might be beneficial to list this as research as you said, with the grant being one outcome of that research. In terms of prestige, about 10 awards were given across my state, out of probably 750-1000 applicants.
2)Will do! Was worried that presentation/poster would be for hypothesis driven scientific endeavors but sounds like it would be okay to designate other types as well.

Thank you again!

1) Awards/Honors seems like a good category, since the grant was very selective. Be sure to put all that in the entry. It seems to me that the grant was the funding of your proposal. If you are short of spaces, it could as easily be incorporated into the same space where you describe the project.

2) Research need not be science-based to count, but it should use the scientific method. It looks to me like you were doing background work to form a hypothesis (by doing a lit review), which would then have been tested using the educational approach you developed (your methods), facilitated by receiving a grant to fund it. Did you collect any outcomes data? Or will it be collected eventually, so you can come to a conclusion on the benefit of your approach? What were the posters about?

If you feel that the scientific method would not apply here, then listing your project under "Other" would be suitable.
