Hi guys!

So I helped out in a lab under a grad student who said I would receive a LOR written by her and submitted under the professor she was working with at the time. Today, the professor just wrote back saying she didn't want to write a letter, even though the letter is already written and just needed her to sign and submit. I don't think there's much to do about that, however the grad student is currently reaching out to a different professor who taught me and who she has worked with to write me a letter. Currently pending his response. I currently have one LOR from a non science professor, 1 DO letter, and 1 MD letter, all of which I believe are very strong letters because I interacted closely with them and they know me well.

I just have several questions:
- Is it too late currently to submit a LOR or do I still have time to submit one? When would be too late to submit one?
- Would it be ok if the graduate student submitted a letter for me instead of a science professor if my plan above doesn't work out? She doesn't have a PhD only an M.S. but I worked with her extensively in the lab and I feel like she knows my work ethics and how I am as a student well.

Thank you for your help!
Unfortunate situation with the PI. I know people who have had people like that write them letters and it worked out for them.
