Unfortunately this looks really bad. Perhaps some adcoms can offer up options that I don't see, but in my experience failing orgo 3 times will keep you out of all US med schools. Sorry

Would DO be opposed if he retook both and Got As or nah?

Okay, first of all, if you failed Orgo I, why on earth did you move on to Orgo II?

I don't think I'm qualified to say what your chances are at this point. But if you are planning to keep trying, I STRONGLY recommend that you don't take Orgo over the summer. I took a 5-week Orgo class and it was brutal. It's very hard to do well in such a fast-paced course even if you're someone who does well in science. I worked my ass off and passed but I'm certain that I could have done better during a full semester. For someone like you who has obviously struggled quite a bit with this material, a fast-paced course is only going to hurt you. You absolutely cannot afford to fail anymore classes.

You need to get some help! Find a tutor, visit your professors/TAs in office hours, find study buddies, etc. Start with Orgo I.

All of these F's have likely tanked your GPA, which may make getting into MD program particularly challenging. DO with grade replacement may be your best option.

How were you even allowed to take Orgo II when you failed Orgo I? Your prospects seem dim. Was there a reason you struggled with these classes? Did you not try hard, or have other circumstances that held you back. If neither of these apply to you, then you really need to look into your study habits. Maybe get some help from professionals at your school. You can't just blindly retake a class you've failed twice, and expect to ace it (which is what you need to do at this point) without identifying your problem.

This is definitely concerning. You say the summer course was fast paced, but so is medical school, how will you handle that?

I was also working full time while taking a full time load over the summer. I was also volunteering at the hospital. It was a little too much for me and I definitely learned how to manage my time after that. In medical school, I do not plan on working so I will be able to focus on my classes better.

I am no adcom, but you should've dropped that gig as soon as you knew things were going south with orgo. From the trend that I've seen on here is that, redemption can be made and rewarded but not if you're constantly making the same mistake and not learning from them.

I failed orgo I the first time because I was dealing with housing issues that I do not want to go into detail. I was basically struggling that whole semester. I received a D in that course. I literally missed passing with a C by one percent. I moved on to orgo 2 in the summer thinking that I could get a decent grade but I was also taking three other courses while working, bad choice on my part. But thanks. I think i will start with orgo I
I hear you. I also worked full-time while taking my prereqs so I know how hard that can be. Unfortunately, the fact that you missed passing by 1% probably won't matter to med schools. All they'll see is that you failed. What I'm saying is that you need to be extremely cautious now to make sure that your grades only improve from here on out. Part of the point of prereqs is to show med schools that you can handle a heavy workload. It may take you a while to bounce back from this.

thinking that I could get a decent grade

Ouch.

Uh... Honestly, I don't see MD route being very plausible right now. I think you can still do DO fine if you retake and do well...

Though to be honest, failing OchemI and taking Ochem II was probably dumb on your part. I'd go back and retake them both without other stuff going on - if I were you.

DO seems possible but only if you change your study habits.
For MD, maybe an SMP is in order?

Take them both over,in summer school, in 2 different sessions, with no other classes, and don't work. Period! And you better get an A.....or "better'.....or else that's it!

Real dumb to take one of the most important classes while working. You bet on yourself, and you failed. I'd say MD would be a stretch unless you want to enjoy the surf n sun in the Carib

Took organic chemistry I spring '15 did not pass by one percent.

Took organic chemistry II summer '15 thinking that I would pass it because I almost passed organic chemistry I. I missed passing with a C by 2 percent. Everything was fast paced. I took the course while taking two other courses and I was also working. This course was taught in 5 weeks.

Fall '15 I retook organic chemistry I online, but it was terrible. I was not taught anything at all. I was tested over material that was not on the book. I ended up with a D in the course.

Should I retake organic chemistry I in the spring? Should I continue on to organic chemistry 2 and lab? I need to get through the organic chemistry sequence so that I can continue onto biochemistry in the fall. That is the only time it is offered.

Option 1: take organic chemistry I in the spring, organic chemistry 2 over the summer, chemistry lab and biochemistry in the fall

Option 2: take organic chemistry 2 and lab in the spring, retake organic chemistry I over the summer, take biochemistry in the fall

Please help. I need advice on what to do now.. I have great grades on all of my classes. I am just stumped on organic chemistry.
Option 3- don't take them according to some imaginary schedule/deadline. Take them as a postbac, without other courses or distractions. Stay away from summer classes -- they are usually faster paced and I don't see that as being good for you.

My guess is adcoms will see this as poor decision making skills.
