Hey there SDN!
I'm a MS3 and am going to do a year of clinical research next year...hoping to get into anesthesia, so I'm brainstorming topics. Ideally I'm going to hook onto an already established study and elaborate from there, but I may end up having to come up with it myself...

seeing as you all have more experience in the field...any grand ideas?

Hook up with a good research advisor and mentor. Likely he/she has many ongoing projects that you can get into. One of the hardest things about research is finding out what's been done, and if it has then how are you going to do a better study to prove or disprove what's been done.
