In my genetics class, which is a core class for me since I'm a biology major, I did an assignment but somehow forgot to turn it in and it was worth 75 points (a big homework). Let's just say I'm failing right now from that and we are one exam in, should I withdraw? I already have 2 W's on my transcript but they're non science courses/core classes. Help! Stressing out.

I'm failing right now without that grade ....

Just be glad that this "somehow forgot" isn't a big deal. If you feel confident in your abilities, stay in the class. If you don't feel confident, take the W and learn from this minor mistake.

What are the total amount of points for that class? Do feel that you are good with genetics and that you will remain doing well? How many other withdrawals have you made? What is the time limit to withdraw from that course at your college? If you do withdraw, do you think you can get an A in the class? If you don't withdraw, do you think you will get a C or lower. In some schools, you cannot repeat a C. If you do withdraw, how will you take this class again later, will it set you back? Think about the cost and benefits as well as assets and liabilities. Make a pros vs cons list. DO schools give out grade replacements, but MD do not. Look on SDN on how admissions view on Withdrawals compared to getting a F or a D.... I sympathize with your struggle OP. What's done is done, what has been done cannot be undone, therefore do what you can do today, which you are and Learn from your past and keep moving forward.
