Okay so plan on taking my MCAT on 5/27, and sending out my primary application when it opens June 1st.

I've still got to finish my personal statement, but since my MCAT won't reach my schools until late June can I work on my PS a bit longer, or does this have to go out June 1st with everything?

Also, if I think I can get a LOR and one more week of shadowing experience in June before they review my app in July could this be done and supplemented with my app?

I've been hearing mixed signals on the MCAT thing: While schools wait to review your application until your MCATS reach them at the later date?

I'm sort of confused if you couldn't tell, thanks for the help!

You can't make any changes to your personal statement once you submit. You can add LOR's you just cant remove any after submission. I personally have known people who submitted before their MCAT scores and ended up regretting it so in my personal opinion it just depends on how well you are scoring on your practice exams/how much money you have in case you paid the application fees for nothing. Im my personal opinion (which is all it is because I am applying this year too) I don't think rushing your personal statement in order to submit early is worth it.

The personal statement on your AMCAS application is final once you hit the submit button. This of course means, you can't submit until you finish your PS. You can add LORs after you're verified but information for your activities cannot be edited. Schools will either wait to review or re-review your file when they get your MCAT scores but you should indicate in your AMCAS application when you'll be taking it.
