Hi everyone,
I'm going to have an interview in Columbia next month and the hotel in New York is so crazy expensive, so I'm thinking to fly back right after the interview to avoid to stay one more night. But I don't know where to put my stuff during the interview. Should I carry my backpack into the interview room? Would it make me look so unprofessional? Thank guys.

Why you didn't rent through airbnb? It is super affordable that way. My brother rent a place for $50 a night in NY

When you check-in for your interview, I'm pretty sure they let you leave all your stuff in a room or behind a table or something. So yeah, you can check-out of your hotel on the day of the interview.

Just ask the school how long the interview last (if they haven't provide you with an schedule yet). And ask the hotel for a late check out. Most of the time they will allow you to do it. Or tell them your situation. I'm sure they would be able to accommodate you.

Even when u check out, you can ask them to keep your stuff in storage until you finish your interview.

That works too. I actually like this option more, because then you don't have all the burden to take with you to the school.

WOW I never thought about that, thank you so much guys. They said that the interview will last until 3pm. I'll call them now and ask if they can keep my stuff. I'm planning to stay in Wyndham New Yorker, first time in New York ever :soexcited::soexcited::soexcited:
