Hey everyone.
I have some interviews coming up and am preparing for them. I have my answers to the main questions they’ll ask me ready, but when they ask if I have questions for them I have no idea what to say.

I’ve been told it’s inappropriate to “quiz/interview” them by asking questions like what makes their school or students unique. But at the same time I dont have questions about specific programs or courses because their information made sense to me. What do I ask? I also know for one of my interviews the interview is a researcher and PharmD. I assume asking them nuances about housing and whatnot wouldn’t be so effective....

Ask questions that align with your personal goals that may not be listed on the website.
What would be helpful for you to know if you had a choice between School X and School Y?

Some examples:
Are you interested in what they do for their community? What does the interviewer love about their school? What's one thing they strongly dislike?

Just my thoughts.

Don't ask question to impress the interviewer.
Don't ask questions to fill silence.

Ask questions you want answers to as long as those questions are not already answered on the website or in an info session.

Who told you that? At a med school interview, you're as much interviewing them as they are of you.

I heard it from a physician I know, but maybe he wasn’t correct. That’s good to hear.

If my interviewer is a researcher, is it valuable to look into the detail of their research? How would that be helpful? Can I ask them about their research or is that too off topic?

Of course you can ask them about the research! People do that for me all the time
