What threshold score are your schools using for the new COMSAE?

Sort of related: anyone heard anything about the Combank 400q practice exam and how it might compare to any of this? Is is just 400 more questions just like their qbank questions? My school does Form D early spring and then this Combank full length. Combank is a joke though so I'm wondering how much OMM I need to study the day before to keep the school out of my way. If it's just like Combank I'm just going to wing it.
if it's the same one i took last year, it was utter trash. almost all buzz words/1st order questions that you can finish in 3 hours. maybe 1 question that was a good 3rd order. don't waste your time. there will be almost no buzz words/1st order questions on the real thing

Thanks. Combank is a joke so it's no surprise my school thinks it is useful. I have to take it but at least I know I can just breeze through like the questions they make me do every week. I swear I could get 80+% each block just looking for a buzzword and immediately clicking an answer choice.

if they're making you do it, just have a sibling or friend do it for you and buy them dinner

We need to clear a minimum score or get put in the "at-risk" group. So unless this "friend" is a 3rd, or 4th year its not possible haha.
you need to pass the combank test? well at least it's easier than comsae

Quick question for third years and beyond: if you can get your comsaes above 600 are you GTG for Comlex?

I feel like the answer is yes, but these tests are just easy and trash so I don’t trust the scores at all.

The answer is yes. The largest drop I have ever heard of online or in person is 150 points. At 600, I would expect you to score near or better than your predicted.

Every single person I know in real life scored better than their comsae average. Me included
Thanks guys. I’m so ready to focus on step.

Did anyone happen to earn their Medical Ethics/Law degree during the first 2 years? Seems to be plenty on topics we never even discussed. There should be a thread of "Court Cases You Must Know" if anyone wants to take a stab at it.

We actually did have a small medicolegal course but it was Florida-specific.

VCOM’s new cut off for COMSAE 105 is 440 (fail) and scores between 440-480 are a “conditional” pass.

Our average at all 3 campuses was about a 500 with a StD of 75.

You guys scored 70 points above the national average?! And set the fail point above the national average? Thats pretty harsh.

At ACOM they lowered the cutoff from 500 to.... 480 lol. 140 out of 160 have met the cutoff by now, only a few students still held back at the moment. Honestly, I don't blame the schools at this point. It's the only way they can "assess" how students will do on the COMLEX, even though the NBOME has clearly stated that it shouldn't be used to predict how students will do on the COMLEX. LOL

Sounds like other schools do the same thing where if you don’t hit the number you come back and take the same test. Seems silly that you could potentially fail the exact same exam twice. Just go look up as many questions as you can remember. Not to mention you KNOW people are collaborating and making docs and crap about what was on 105 and what the answers were.

KCU doesn't have a cutoff or required score thank god. we took 105 back to back with the combank 200 just 'for our benefit' and so we could see how long it was. I think the majority of our class passed both (citation needed) but to be honest I don't see how it can predict your score 2 months before you take the damn thing.

I barely passed the cutoff for it lol i scored between a 460-470
