What time do you folks go to bed on weekdays

You might want to narrow your search criteria. For instance, many pre-meds are nontrads. I'm working overnight right now. Many are in college. Many are in a gap year. I don't see any thing useful about data so nonspecific.

I go to bed when I get off work (8AM).

Depends on my work schedule. Preferably, I go to bed at midnight, but I sometimes work until 1AM or 2AM, sometimes overnight until 6AM.

Depends. Did I just finish a 6-6, a 2-2, an 11-11? Am I sleeping at home or crashing in my car? Did I have class this evening? What shift am I working tomorrow? Which job am I working tomorrow? Do I have tomorrow off!?! No? Fine.
Anywhere from 8pm-4am. Does that help?

night float ftl

as a pre-med, 10pm-midnight
as a med student, 9pm-11pm, depending on classes/rotation/etc
as a resident, 7-9pm

That is incredibly constant. I'll bet you have a daily planner.

I might be one of the most disorganized people you'll ever quote on SDN.

the only constant of it is that I like to sleep and that I usually have to get up around the same time.

rounds don't start at 8am.

I was going to make a joke about bringing bags of prunes to your rounds but then I saw that you're a mod

You're right. I meant to ask this question to med school students and residents.

I never go to bed.

It's 2 am and I'm still awake.

I will post again at 5 am :|

My sleeping schedule is so wacky right now (4AM woke up at 6PM) but ideally I go to sleep at 2-3AM and wake up at 9:15AM for 10AM classes.

I prefer to get up and go to work, so I usually crash around 5 a.m. and get up at noon. I never cared for second shift, I just put up with it.

11 or 12pm on weekdays (up at 4am) , fri/sat/sunday - combined maybe 10 hours sleep total. I work as a EM scribe, so my weekends are full of random shifts (graveyard/morning/evening/etc)

Any other scribes know what I'm talking about ...the fuked up sleeping schedules due to shifts...

edit: Saw a scribe post above by reading shift time schedule

It's odd that you go to bed at either 11 pm or 12 pm. That's a difference of 13 hours. 😵

No wonder..get some sleep! Start going to bed earlier and all of the sudden things will feel much easier.

As a college student, sometimes 2-3 AM (if party) or 11-12 PM if no party.

As a med student: 11-1AM, very few party exceptions.

I am one of those mythical creatures that like to get up in the mornings. I get up at 5am or 6am. usually crash out at 11pm or 12am.
I wish I could be. But unless I have class, I will not get up.

Oh man don't think the second that alarm starts buzzing that I am up and out of bed. I still hate myself everything I wake up :b It really is sheer persistence. Obviously some days life says no and I sleep in. But I just enjoy the silence of the morning.
Haha nice.
I like subconsciously turn off my alarm clock. If It's set with any free time at all, I turn it off and go back to sleep and end up oversleeping my classes. 🙁
I accused my roommate of turning off my alarm clock last year, but it was just me haha.
I tried it all, even locking a ridiculously loud alarm clock in a safe so I would have to do a combination to unlock it.

Typically a bit after midnight.

Now here is the golden question. Do you guys have a fairly stable or regular sleep schedule?

regularly around 10 pm but after nightshift mostly falling asleep before 8 🙂

Usually go to school at 11-12 pm and wake up at 7:20 am on non-test days. On test days, I go to bed at around 12:00 pm and wake up at 3:00 am and study until test time.

work: Got to bed between 1-2 am, work at 5 am.
school: Go to bed around 1-3 am, wake up at 9 am.
😴

Now that I'm "in the real world" ("werking jerbs"), 11pm for work at 9. The days of being able to sleep at 4am for 8am class are long over, haha. I may or may not be screwed in med school
