What to bring on an interview

I've heard of some people bringing a CV to their interveiw. Anything else you should have handy? Is it appropriate to bring a briefcase/laptop bag?

--Also, I don't have a CV, but I do have a basic academic resume (just lists e.c.'s, work exp., and stats). Would that be appropriate?

I think it's actually better to keep things simple. A leather folder with CV, etc. is appropriate but bringing laptop/brief case...well, unnecessary. Good luck on your interview.

One question about the CV. What info is that going to give them that isn't contained in your AMCAS or secondary applications?

- Breath mints (for after lunch)
- Kleenex: cuz you just never know when they come in handy-- if you accidentally spill something on your suit during lunch.
- Money for any extra things (i.e. parking, paying off adcoms 😉 )
- If you're a girl: bandaids in your shoes for the blisters you will get
- UMBRELLA!!

some schools granting interviews w/o verified amcas want an unofficial transcript to make sure amcas didn't screw up (can you blame them??) also...a notebook or notepad to write down stuff during their introductory speech, financial aid talk, etc...don't forget deod.

Band-Aids for the guys too!!!!!
I wore my shoes for maybe 2 hours to one interview this week and then 3 hours the next one. I have some fat a$$ blisters on the back of my heels...and I am a GUY in case you didn't know (that's for you nashtrash 🙂)

What I took to the interviews.
Copy of sheet saying I was interviewing.
Directions.
A couple pictures from my research project (not needed).
A copy of my AMCAS (not needed).
A copy of the secondary to the school I was interviewing at (again, not needed..but better safe than sorry).
All in a folder with a notepad with random notes on it.
Then an umbrella if it was raining or chance of rain.
