what to bring to an interview..

I was wondering if anyone knew what would be appropriate to bring to an interview..resume? or any additional information about yourself?

Don't forget to bring things they tell you to bring in the invitation. Like some schools say bring a pic for example.

Bring a small folder to put the stuff they give you in, and if you've done research, bring some information about that. For example, if you've written an abstract, definitely bring multiple copies, they love reading those. You probably wouldn't need a resume unless they ask for it specifically. Good luck, and don't stress, they're really not that bad!

let's see...during my interview at nova, there was only two people who brought files, myself and another interviewee. the interviewers never asked me for anything either. so i think it's pretty safe to say that you won't need to bring much other than yourself, your attire, and your confidence...unless they specifically say to bring something such as a passport photo, like others have mentioned above.

I wouldn't go with a black suit, they are usually reserved for funerals or black tie events.

Debatable. Black says confidence, but also doesn't make you stick out since everybody thinks it is the safe way to go.

Black is also generally accepted as the most professional color, or anything dark for that matter. Personally, I have a really dark navy suit (almost black) with pin stripes. I think the best way to stand out is to wear and off color tie, such as a red tie with a dark navy suit. Some people may interpret it as cocky though.

I think gray is also acceptable, although I wouldn't wear a white suit 🙂
