What to do if i'm missing an activity on my AMCAS app?

I need advice!

So I just realized that I had accidentally deleted one of my most important activities from my AMCAS app before submitting it. It's way too late to change the app now, since it's been verified and all, but, any thoughts on what I should do now?

All I can think of is to add the activity onto any secondaries I get (which doesn't fix the fact that med school admins will probably think I'm really careless and write me off...).

I'd appreciate any advice you all have...

The best that you can do is mention it on your secondary applications. If there isn't anywhere to put it on some of the secondary applications, you can also write an update letter and send it to the admissions office.

This really does suck, because I did it last year. I completely overlooked the fact that none of my shadowing experience was on AMCAS. I mostly blame myself for being too anxious and submitting quickly without taking care to make sure everything was perfect. Anyway, I'd recommend that you be aggressive with letting schools know about the missing activity.

food, when you say I should be aggressive in letting the schools know about my missing activity, do you mean something more than putting the activity on my secondaries?

I think most of the schools I applied to aren't selective about sending out secondaries (the UC's being the exception...), so I don't know if/how I would notify the schools before they sent me a link to their secondary app.

I guess what I mean is you could write an update/info letter in addition to indicating your activity on the secondary. I simply included the information on my secondary, but I have a feeling it wasn't enough.
