When you're on your interviews, are you guys lugging your suitcases around or leaving them in your hotel room? What is a good way to avoid having to carry your suitcase around if you plan to stay one night before interviews and fly back home? Any suggestions, or must you book two nights at the hotel to interview suitcase-free? 😀

I just take it to the interview. Normally they have a room where you can put it. I'm not paying for a hotel an extra night just to keep my bags there.

I've lucked out so far and have been able to leave them with my student hosts until after the interview. Admissions offices know we have luggage tho and they usually have a place for you to leave it for the day if you need to. I've seen several people do this so far so unless you're sporting a tattered old duffel bag you should be fine.

The hotels I've stayed at (not for interviews, just throughout life) usually let you check your bags for free after you check out if you ask.

yes, this is what i do

btw, sophie, what car is that in your avatar? It reminds me of the Italdesign Schigera (unproduced), but that has sharper lines than your avatar...Maybech maybe?...that's kinda funny

edit: Bugatti 16/4 Veyron? I found it b/c your pic made me stare at random cars, of course beginning w/ Italian cars...would have taken the high speed crown from the mclaren f1 but limited to 218 b/c of instability after that 🙁 i hate mclaren, and mercedes (any person who understands my avatar would understand why)

If you want to leave straight from the interview, just ask the admissions office if you can stash your stuff somewhere. They'll help you out.

taht is true. if you fly in early and your check in time is later, they will also let u store luggage there for free until your check in time--that way you can go out do run any errands or check out the city. they also let you store teh stuff after you check out. i called several hotels and they all said it was fine.

Yep, good sleuthing. 🙂

I'm a huge Ferrari fan too, although I don't follow F1 and the Ferrari/McLaren rivalry enough to hate McLaren.
