Hey guys.
So I've been seeing a few posts where people were done their personal statements already. The admissions website isn't open for this year yet so I'm assuming people just wrote it ahead of time so I had a few questions.

How long is it supposed to be? Is it the same for all applications to all Universities? Where can I find info about it?

Is there anything else that can be done now?

This is my first year applying so I was just going to wait till June to start but it's a great idea to apply early.
Thanks!

The length is limited to 4500 characters (including spaces). It's part of the AADSAS application, it gets sent to all schools you apply to. I believe the prompt is: "Your Personal Statement should address why you desire to pursue a dental education and how a dental degree contributes to your personal and professional goals."

From the guidebook a few years ago:

"The ADEA AADSAS application requires a personal essay on your reasons for pursuing a dental education. Where do you start? Put yourself in the shoes of the admissions committees that read application essays. They are looking for individuals who are motivated, academically prepared, articulate, socially conscious, and knowledgeable about the profession. What can you tell admissions committees about yourself that will make you stand out?"

4500 words is a lot. Do you know if many people use all of the word limit.
