  1. Pre-Dental
Hey guys....

I currently graduated and I am now taking some part time classes at the university.....Because of some situations I doubt I'll be getting in for the 2010 class and I was wondering what I could do to improve my educational values and how I may stick out over other applicants. I want to take some kind of courses or program that is about a year in length. I was looking to do dental hygiene but it's a two year program every where that I look and I need a 1 year program because I will probably be looking to be able to apply to dental school for the 2011 class.....

Any help will be greatly appreciated....Thank you in advance guys

Maybe taking some challenging (Bio) courses conjugate with extraactivities like community work and volunteering is not bad idea.

I am more wondering to see if there are any programs out there that I could take.....like dental assisting or something similar to this that you guys might know of that is a one year program....thanks

Wow Extrrraa Timeee!
you can:
1. Donate some to me
2. look into a one year long master programs. Search the SDN and you find a link to some interesting ones.
3. Travel while you can and you are young.

i'd agree with the others, look into a masters program or take some upper bio classes. some schools LOVE that kinda stuff, like histology and other class. also if you work at a dentist office you'll learn a lot more than you will taking a dental assistanting class for a year. a lot of assistanting stuff you can learn in office, and you can just do the certification online in like 6 hours. good luck 🙂

Thanks for getting back to me guys..I really apprecaite it....Ive had a few hard couple years and I am now starting to get things settled and ready to go for dentistry....Im not that young Im 26 and just wanting to move on with life and get into dental school.

What kind of masters courses would be most "amusing" for dental schools in ones opinion and also would online masters programs be looked down on....? thanks again
