What to do?

so you mean you are on a couple of waitlists right now?
well having that reapplicant label is always tough, but you have a strong gpa.
is your mcat break down 10, 10, 10? getting doubles on the sections would obviously be better since top schools all have averages in the double digits.

having the few medical experiences isnt ideal of course, and i believe you should work on that as well if you have a chance. having that application well rounded is key. and even though research isnt required, i still think its something you should be strong in if you want to go to a top school....since im pretty sure what you mean by top is the top research med schools in the US.

this is one of the most general advice one can get: Apply to more schools if you feel that you didn't apply to enough places this year! Retaking the MCAT will help but the reason for your waitlists may be something else. Try to see if you can talk to one of the schools that rejected you, and see what's the reason(s) they did so. Even better is talking to several school, which will make it easier to find some common themes.

I wouldnt limit yourself to top 15 schools unless those are the ONLY schools you will be satisfied with. Frankly, very few people actually get into those schools and you really maximize your chances by expanding the number and type of schools you apply to. Your numbers are not stellar for a top 15 school and like you said you dont have much medical experience. You should improve on that aspect of your application and your MCAT. Your MCAT would be fine for a number of schools, but you are roughly 4 to 8 points short of being competitive for top 15 schools. You can be a doctor without going to a top 15 school.

yeah i mean its nice to go to a top school, but if i dont get into them im not gonna give up being a med student somewhere else that serves my purposes just fine.
