They already know where your hometown is based on your app.I am hoping to match close to my hometown which is where these programs are
...but that hasn't changed since you submitted the app. Why should they change their minds? Especially if you're applying to NY area itll be toughI am hoping to match close to my hometown which is where these programs are
Not applying in NY but thank you! That is a good way to word things......but that hasn't changed since you submitted the app. Why should they change their minds? Especially if you're applying to NY area itll be tough
Its only been a week and the best you could say is something along the lines of "I am still very interested in X because (1-3 good specific reasons), would the program director consider carefully looking over my application again" Then volunteer to be on the waitlist. That's what weve been told.
sorry thats where it says your location is so i assumed. my bad! best of luckNot applying in NY but thank you! That is a good way to word things...
Thank you again! Yes I'm there now but want to go back home down south.sorry thats where it says your location is so i assumed. my bad! best of luck
For what it's worth, I have heard of one IR applicant (matched and intern now) who did med school in the South, but is originally from the West Coast. Reached out to her matched program saying she was from the area, and scored an interview.Thank you again! Yes I'm there now but want to go back home down south.
