what to include in a Thank you note

After completing my first interview, I am thinking about writing a thank you note to the interviewer. I have never written a thank you note before, so I am not so sure exactly what to include, how to write properly, etc... I would appreciate any suggestions from those who've written thank you notes in past. A sample note would be great to get an idea of what it should look like.
