cliffs says it's the chorion, kaplan says the allantois

which one is it?

thanks.

most answers ive come across said chorion. Id say chorion. I remember one question that put BOTH CHORION AND ALLANTOIS so if an answer is both choose both, if its either chorion or allantois its chorion. The allantois is responsible for the umbilical chord

where does it say this in kaplan? I thought kaplan said that later in development, the allantois functions with the placenta because it becomes the umbilical cord

I'd say chorion, allantois is waste removal from embryo and later when it forms the umbilical cord it helps with nutrient and gas exchange, and trophoblasts->chorion->forms placenta

Yea troys right because chorion is what develops into the placenta while the chorion and allantois develop into the umbilical cord
