Does it have to be calculus based or algebra based? The one at my school is trig/algebra based but what annoys me is that they slapped the label Introductory on it for no reason at all other than the fact that there's also a calculus based physics. It's not really introductory just because it's algebra based is it? Anyways, just wondering what type most schools prefer.

I think most of the equations used in physics were derived with calculus, so it is a pretty integral part of the field. So yes, algebra-based physics is indeed introductory. It's basically physcis for non-majors. That being said, I don't think any dental school will mind if you take Intro to Physics. I'd be willing to bet most pre-dents did.

It does not matter which one you take as long as it has a lab and is 4 credits.

I took the calc based one. It doesn't matter which one you take, but in my school I like focusing more on the math than the physics (but that is just my perspective). Also, in my school the calc based one has short answer exams, while the intro one has multiple choice exams. I prefer short answer exams to MC exams anyday. But then again, there was no curve since we were with the physics and chemistry majors.

As stated above, as long as its 4 credit, you would be fine. GL.

schools will accept the non-calc, so go with whichever you are more comf with
