All i can say is dont ask stupid ones!!! Seriously many people shot themselves in the foot by asking if schools do research while the school acutally does very little. Thus making you look like you haven't researched the school. This research questions was asked like three to four times, till finally the interviewer said "this is not a research instution!!!"
Do the research on the school, find out what you want out of your education there. Then try to find some open-ended questions to ask. Try to be and attentive listener and ask questions during the talks. Especially if its the dean talking, interupt and ask, this will make you stand out. But again dont ask stupid questions like, whats the cost to go here!! They will get to it. More like what does a particular fee covers?
I dont know i think people were nervous and asked some pretty basic questions that could have been answered by a look at the website or brochure.
