I read that there were 5 dual degree programs for OMFS in the 1970s in a article dedicated to Dr. Guaralnick.
EDIT: After reading through JOMS, Alabama was the first 6 year OMFS program in the country and it started in the 1960s but the 4 year was still also an option - started by Dr. McCallum. This makes sense why Alabama seemed so highly respected by all older OMFS. MGH was the first program in the country to offer only the 6 year program in 1971 started by Guralnick.
What were the rest? I'm curious about the history and having a hard time digging up history.
