Hello all,

I need to know what kind of MCAT score I need to be aiming for if I want to be competitive. I would prefer to head in the allopathic direction, but I will go wherever I can get accepted.

cGPA: 3.31 (upward trend: 2.83, 3.02, 3.17, 3.31) This should be 3.41 by the time I am applying in the fall.
sGPA: 3.76

I am strong in the sciences with A's in Orgo, gen chem, physics, biology, Anat & Phys etc...

With your sGPA being at a 3.7 but lower cGPA, looking around the forums it would seem around a 508-510+ would possibly get you in some doors

by the time I am applying in the fall.

Do not apply in the fall if you want MD. Get your application as good as it can be and apply as soon as applications open in June. Wait a year if you need to.

Yeah that's what has been the conversation with a few admission officers I have had a conversation with. I may just do osteopathic. I don't know how bad I want to add another year to the 7+ years of med school.
